When the National Veterans Wheelchair Games rolls into New Orleans July 24-30, 2024, the Tulane School of Professional Advancement will have had a hand in the organization's preparation.
One of the most important aspects of the Wheelchair Games is having smooth, accessible flooring that is safe for rolling, dribbling, and the occasional speed racer.
Tulane SoPA helped unpack thousands of square feet of flooring that recently arrived at the warehouse from the site of last year's Wheelchair Games held in Portland, Oregon.
Scuffs were buffed away and floors were shined — "a tremendous help" — according to a VA employee overseeing the project.
