Financial Aid, Scholarships & Discounts
Tulane University School of Continuing Studies (SCS) students are eligible for a variety of additional financial aid options, aside from traditional options like grants and loans. Click the links below or watch the video to learn more.
The Seventh Class Free program is being phased out and is only available for undergraduates registering for spring 2017. You must apply by March 31, 2017 in order to be eligible.
Several scholarships are designated especially for SCS students. Click the links below for information about each scholarship, and how to apply.
Osher Re-entry Scholarships
Eligible students must be part time, undergraduates pursuing their first bachelor’s degree between the ages of 25 and 50. Students must have earned at least 9 credits at Tulane, but not more than 40 credits.
Tidewater/Thomas J. Assad Scholarship
Awarded to part time, undergraduate students majoring or minoring in English. No application is necessary; all eligible students are screened for this award.
In keeping with the spirit of its outreach mission, SCS offers 50% tuition discounts to undergraduate students who are documented members of various groups including:
Full-time teachers employed at schools approved by the LA State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education or the MS State Board of Education who enroll in courses related to their fields
Employees of the City of New Orleans, City of Madison, Jefferson Parish and its incorporated municipalities, the Regional Transit Authority, Orleans Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Housing Authority of New Orleans
Tulane University’s Veterans Affairs office provides services to veterans and survivors of veterans who are eligible for veteran’s educational benefits under the Montgomery GI Bill and Vocational Rehabilitation and Employment Program.
