Biography
Ann Delenela is vice president and chief information security officer for Entergy, where she is responsible for enterprise and operational cybersecurity, physical security systems, and regulatory compliance.
Her professional expertise spans 25-plus years in information technology and cybersecurity management.
Prior to joining Entergy in 2019, Delenela was vice president and chief information security officer for Ameren Services, where she was responsible for enterprise cybersecurity covering Ameren’s corporate, electric, nuclear and gas operations. Before that, she served as chief security officer at the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, where she had overall responsibility for the company’s cybersecurity, physical security and emergency management programs. Her previous experience includes multiple technical, managerial, and strategic roles within industries ranging from energy, telecommunication, software development and consulting.
Delenela is active in multiple utility industry committees and boards. She is a member of the board of the Association of Women in Energy and serves on the Electricity Subsector Coordinating Council and the NERC Electricity Information Sharing and Analysis Center executive committee. She was appointed by the Secretary of Energy to the U.S. Department of Energy’s electricity advisory committee.
Delenela was appointed by the Governor of Texas to the Texas Private Sector Advisory Council, which advises the governor’s office on homeland security issues. In addition, she served as chairman for the North American Independent System Operator/Regional Transmission Organization’s security working group. She also served on the advisory board for Gartner’s Security & Risk Management Summit and as a Board member for the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri.
Delenela was named one of the top 10 women chief information security officers to watch by Chief Security Officer magazine, CISO Connect’s Top 100 Chief Information Security Officers and awarded HotTopics’ Top 100 Global CISO. She has also been recognized by the Profiles in Diversity Journal as one of the “Women to Watch in STEM.
Delenela received a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the University of North Texas.
